We've done Dock Dogs in the rain before, but opening day of Dock Dogs 2011 in Scarborough was the coldest, wettest day so far. The dogs didn't seem to mind though! Dogs and competitors from New England and beyond came to show off their dock jumping and diving skills!
We saw a new world record get set in the vertical extreme on Saturday (Go, Jager!). And lots of ribbons given out to winners of all shapes and sizes.
Check out pictures from the event below. The final results will be on this page as soon as we have them.
Congratulations and thank you to all competitors, and thank you to all the fans and spectators for making Dock Dogs 2011 a successful event!
See Team 21's Jager make world-record-tieing and then world-record-breaking jumps in the vertical extreme competition!
The Portland Press Herald has an excellent article about the event.
What happens when you take a 40-foot pool and add a 40-foot dock plus some of the best canine athletes around? Dockdogs!!!
High-flying dockdogs fun!
